Site Excellence
Oops! Looks like there are some stories on the homepage that are older than three months old. This year we require that sites meet guideline 24 before we will provide further evaluation.
#5- Make sure to avoid stacking any auto-rotating carousels on top of each other. The simultaneous motion can be distracting/dizzying for the reader.
#10- Oops! There are still several legacy elements in your header. Make sure to replace those with newer elements for the most complete design options. You can read more on how to update those elements in the support article linked in guideline #9.
#10- Oops! It looks like there are no widgets in your design draft. When working on design drafts make sure that once you are finished that you close any other tabs where your site is open, and check in the draft. Failure to do that can result in the widgets getting erased from the design draft where work occurred. Please add back the widgets to the design draft and resubmit.
#10- That design draft looks very similar to the live site. For this portion of the badge we are looking for major changes to be made to the header, footer, and widget areas of the homepage. #10- Oops! It appears that no completed design draft exists. We require that your staff redesign the site in a design draft. This redesign should include substantial and structural changes to the header, footer, and homepage widget areas. When we review your Site Excellence submission we will look at the design draft redesign next to the live site and immediately notice those changes to all the areas on the homepage. You do not need to push the design draft live unless you choose to do so. For more information about the design drafts refer to the support article linked in this guideline. As such, this entry is incomplete, and due to high submission volumes we do not provide feedback on incomplete submissions. Please resubmit once you have a redesigned site created as a design draft.
